What our verified badge actually means
Any site can print a big discount. The number is free to write, which is exactly why nobody believes it. What is expensive to fake is the record of a code working — so that is what we publish, including the parts that make us look bad.
- 1
Someone takes it to a checkout
Not a script pinging an endpoint — a person puts the code into the payment step of a real basket and watches whether the total drops. That is the only test that matches what happens to you.
- 2
The result gets a timestamp
Pass or fail, the outcome is stamped with the moment it happened. That is the date on every card. We say “checked 2 hours ago”, never “verified daily”, because one of those is checkable and the other is a slogan.
- 3
Shoppers correct us continuously
Every reveal asks whether the code worked. Those votes drive the success meter on each card, and they move within hours of a code dying — far faster than any manual re-check schedule.
- 4
Dead codes stay published
When an offer expires it moves to the brand's archive, struck through and dated, with the live ones above it. People search for codes that turn out to be dead; a page that says so beats a 404, and hiding our failures would make the rest of the record worthless.
The numbers we are allowed to say
Every figure Discounts Corner quotes about itself is counted from our own data. A figure with nothing behind it is left out rather than printed as a zero or rounded up into a boast.

How we make money
When you use one of our links and buy something, the retailer pays us a commission. You pay nothing extra, and the price you see is the price you would get going direct.
It never changes which offers we show or where they rank. The trending list is ordered by reveals counted at our own endpoint, and the featured slots go to offers that were tested this week — neither is for sale. Where a brand has no affiliate programme at all, its codes are listed exactly the same way.
Frequently asked
How we verify- How do I use a coupon code?
- Tap Get code and we copy it and open the retailer in a new tab. At almost every store the code box sits on the payment step rather than the basket, so check the total actually drops before you confirm the order.
- The code did not work. What now?
- Tell us — the reveal asks whether it worked, and one tap moves the success rate other shoppers see. Most failures come down to excluded sale lines, a minimum spend, or a first-order-only rule, all of which are in the terms on the offer.
- What does verified actually mean here?
- That a person took the code to a real checkout and watched the total change, on the date shown. We publish the timestamp rather than the word daily, because one of those is checkable and the other is a slogan.
- Does Discounts Corner cost anything?
- No. Every code is free to use and there is no account required to reveal one. Saving offers and getting alerts before something expires needs an account, and that is free too.
- How often is the catalogue checked?
- Continuously, and unevenly — some brands get re-tested hourly, others sit for days. Rather than average that away, every store page shows what share of its offers we checked in the last 24 hours.
- How do you make money?
- When you buy through one of our links the retailer pays us a commission, at no extra cost to you. It never changes which offers we show or where they rank — trending is counted from real reveals, and featured slots are not for sale.
