How we are paid

Affiliate disclosure

Discounts Corner earns a commission when a purchase follows one of our links. It never changes what you pay, and it never decides what we list.

The disclosure

Discounts Corner takes part in affiliate programmes. Most links on this site to a retailer are affiliate links: if you follow one and buy something, the retailer pays us a commission on that sale.

What it costs you

Nothing. The commission is paid by the retailer out of their own margin. The price, the postage and the terms are identical to arriving at their site directly, and using a code from here does not change your consumer rights with that retailer in any way.

What it does not affect

  • What gets listed. An offer is listed because it is live and useful, not because of what it pays.
  • The order things appear in. Offers are ordered by how recent and how useful they are. Nobody can buy a position.
  • What we say about an offer. Where a code has conditions, we say so. Where an offer carries no discount figure, the card shows no figure.

How to tell

Outbound links to retailers are marked sponsored and nofollow in the page's HTML, which is the standard way of declaring a paid link to browsers and to search engines. They pass through a redirect on our own domain so the click can be counted before you leave.

Who pays us

Commission reaches us through affiliate networks, principally CJ Affiliate, which handles the relationship with each retailer and the tracking of each sale. We are not owned by, and do not speak for, any retailer listed on this site.

Questions about any of this are welcome on the contact page.

We also use Skimlinks, which runs on this site and can turn an ordinary link to a shop into an affiliate one automatically, including links inside our guides. It works the same way as the rest: the retailer pays a commission out of their margin and your price is unchanged.
